Common Services Centers (CSC) scheme is one of the mission mode projects under the Digital India Programme.
CSCs are the access points for delivery of essential public utility services, social welfare schemes, healthcare, financial, education and agriculture services, apart from host of B2C services to citizens in rural and remote areas of the country. It is a pan-India network catering to regional, geographic, linguistic and cultural diversity of the country, thus enabling the Government’s mandate of a socially, financially and digitally inclusive society.
CSC e-Governance Services India Limited
CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle, has been set up by the Ministry of Electronics & IT under the Companies Act, 1956 to oversee implementation of the CSC scheme. CSC SPV provides a centralized collaborative framework for delivery of services to citizens through CSCs, besides ensuring systemic viability and sustainability of the Scheme.
Vision of CSC SPV
To develop CSCs as a reliable and ubiquitous IT-enabled network of citizen service points connecting local population with government departments, business establishments, banks, insurance companies and educational institutions, with an impact on primary, secondary and tertiary sectors of the country’s economy.
Total there are 186 gram Panchayats in district Pulwama, J&K and we have covered 180 gram Panchayats in the district were Common Service centres (CSC) actively existent. Total we have 210 common services centres in the district which are actively functioning.There are various Services Provided by CSCs. List of Services provided by CSCs :
WORK DONE /ACHIEVEMENTS
Pulwama district have put a innumerable effort on board to bring UJALA to hype. We have Sold almost 5 lakh LED bulbs to customers on subsidized rate.
We also worked on Digital Financial Awareness And Programme (DFIAA) in which we digitally literate almost 90,000 citizens and 200 merchants.
We are also working on Pradhan Mandir Digital Shakshatra Abhiyan (PMDISHA) to make it successful. As of now we have provided taining to 6000 students under PMGDISHA so far and out of which 3400 students have been certified.
We also worked on Legal Literacy programme (LLP) in which we provided legal information to almost 1000 citizens across district pulwama.
Presently We are working in a Tele-Law project under which 20 Village Level entrepreneurs (VLEs) and their Para legal Volunteers (PLVs) are working and we provide free legal advice to all the citizens across pulwama.
We have also worked in a project namely National digital literacy mission under which we trained thousands of citizens. CSCs also helps common citizens in filling of SSB forms and collect the fees via CSC wallet.
JNV form submission or registration of an applicant was also made available only throug CSC centers across district and we successfully registered more than 500 students.
CSC SPV has also signed an MOU with FSSAI for enabling registrations of food vendors, shops and eateries through CSCs. The service is successfully running with around 18000 registrations per year across district pulwama. CSC assist vendors to get the registration and fill the registration form online on to the FSSAI website collect the fees via CSC wallet and generate a Certificate immediately for the vendor.
For Common citizen’s convenience, CSCs across every Panchayat is offering the various Government to Citizens Services. Pan Card Service and Passport Service are among them. Applicant can approach to nearest CSC to apply for Pan Card and Passport. Application Form will be filled by CSC Operator i.e. Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) on the behalf of applicant. He is only required to submit the necessary documents to VLE.
