Deputy Commissioner Pulwama pays surprise visit to the District Hospital
To assess the quality health services, and patient care District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Dr . Syed Abid Rashid Shah, IAS today paid a surprise visit to the district hospital Pulwama and inspected various sections of the hospital and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients here.
During his inspection, DDC visited different sections and wards including emergency, operation theatre, ECG unit, Dental section, X-ray, Gynae, and Post Operation wards. He inquired about the availability of medicines, diagnostic and other facilities available in the hospital. While interacting with the patients, DDC inquired about their well being and facilities provided to them.
Taking serious note of the unnecessary hoardings erected and parking in the hospital premises, the DDC directed the hospital administration to clear the premises and beautify it.. He directed concerned officers for the macdamization of the parking area and beautification of Public Park in the premises of the hospital.
DDC directed Chief Medical Officer for the supervision of all over functioning of the hospital and ensure availability of essential medicines and other diagnostic equipment’s .He stressed on the sanitation and single window system facilities provided for the patients in the hospital. DDC impressed upon doctors and para medic fraternity to be unrelenting in their devotion to public services, so that DH Pulwama model is replicated throughout the state.
DDC assured all possible support related to better health care services being provided at the hospital .He enjoined upon the hospital administration to focus on quality assurance, so that satisfaction level among the users of Govt health facilities is enhanced and people repose faith in public health. DDC further added that accessible and affordable health care would improve the perception of Public health care institutions among the People.
Responding to the issues raised by the locals, DDC assured them that would work tirelessly to modernise the hospital and expressed his desire to make the hospital an institution of eminence.
