Tehsildar Tral conquers hearts, Walks 70 km distance to reach the Cloud burst spot at Brari Angan village

Tehsildar Aripal , Tral Zubair Ahmad Bhat (KAS), set a precedence for other officers in the district administration as he walked a distance of 70 km to reach the cloud burst spot in which 148 sheep were lost at Brari Angan, a summer pasture, 35 km uphill from last village of Tral area, Nargistan village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The Tehsildar on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah took the challenge and set on to conquer the mountains to listen to their pain and agony, an official told Sachnews.

He also shared meals with these underprivileged section and assured them that he would recommend compensation for these people whose livelihood got washed away in the cloud burst.

He set on the journey amid continuous downpour and even risked his life to assess the damage to the cloud burst victims.

He told Sachnews that during the spot visit, he saw that 148 goats and sheep were washed away and many more were injured.

He was informed that three eye witnesses of the cloud burst fell unconscious for more than 12 hours.

The cloud burst victims who lost their live stock include Nazir son of Ghulam Nabi (60), Mehmoods son of Kallu Poswal (55)Hamid son of Ghulam Nabi Poswal (33) and Laldin son of Alamdin.

The cloud burst occurred around 6 pm on 27 July and the Tehsildar visited the spot on today morning.

The victims admired the efforts of the Tehsildar and thanked the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah for reaching to them and for assessment of the damages immediately.
