DDC Pulwama reviews the progress of AIIMS Project
DDC Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer today reviewed a meeting regarding the progress of AIIMS project here at DC Office complex Pulwama
In the meeting ADC Awantipora, EX-EN R& B Pulwama, EX-EN CPW, EX-EN PWD, Tehsildar Awantipora and other concerned officers were present .
Initially Executive Engineer CPW (Central Public Works Department) apprised the meeting that the layout plan for the project is already prepared, finalized and sent to the concerned departments.
Executive Engineer R& B briefed the DDC that the four laning of approach road has been already taken & 1.24 Cr under languishing projects has been spent and an amount of 17.79 Cr rupees for the remaining part is pending for the administrative approval. DDC directed the Joint Director Planning that Administrative Deptt shall be intimated in this regard.
Regarding land acquisition and shifting of utilities, the collector land acquisition said that a compensation of 5.28 Cr has also been received from the indenting department for compensation to the structures coming in the alignment of approach road, out of which 1.55 Cr already stands disbursed. In this regard, DDC directed the concerned officers to resolve the issue of construction & compensation on the approach road in the shortest possible time.
DDC further directed the line departments to expedite the pending issues like rehabilitation of landless owners, provision of water supply, electricity, fencing etc. DDC directed the line departments to maintain close coordination and work in tandem in shifting of utilities for smooth construction works. He also enjoined upon executing agencies to expedite the pace of work, so that the prestigious project can be completed in a time-bound manner.
Earlier DDC reviewed a meeting of District Mineral Foundation Trust, where he enjoined upon the officers of Geology and Mining to submit the proposals for judicious and appropriate use of District Mineral fund. He directed the executive-engineer Irrigation and Flood Control , District Mineral Officers and concerned Tehsildars to activate the field functionaries in curbing the illegal excavation of sand, boulders, bajri, limestone and soil. He enjoined upon the Tehsil level task functionaries to act stringently against the offenders and submit daily action taken report.
DDC reiterated that his administration has a zero tolerance policy against illegal and unscientific excavation of sand, bajri, boulder and earth.
