DDC Pulwama visits Markazi Falai Atfaal Patal Bagh, inaugurates week long deworming compaign

Pulwama 25 November 2019:In order to celebrate and observance of the National Deworming Day, Chief Medical officePulwama in collaboration with social welfare department today organised a function here at MFI Patal Bagh Galander.

District Development Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC said that the National Deworming Day is to be observed with an objective to free children from worm infections and to deworm them from 1-19 years .Deworming is done to cure the infected children and also to put an end to multiple other causes like anaemia, mental impairment, mal-nourishment etc
He directed health officials to create mass awareness about the most effective and low-cost STH treatment.

On the occasion, DDC inaugurates the week long deworming compaign by giving tablets of Albendazole to the children residing in the Markazi.

The programme was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, Chief Medical officer,District Health Officer, District Social Welfare, Block Medical officer , Anganwadi workers and other concerned
