DDC Pulwama chairs KLC meet. Kacharia compensation to be utilized as per local demands
Pulwama 3 November :District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer today convened a meeting to discuss the inclusive expenditure of KLC funds here today.
The meeting briefly discussed that their 22 villages in the district including Nehama, Noorpora, K. Koot, Naina, Tahab, Chandhara, Lassipora, Kadalbal etc whose Funds are available under KLC amounting to Rs. 31.00 Crores and are yet to be unutilized.
It was decided that the KLC funds would be used in community development projects like improvement of electricity, construction of schools, desiliting of irrigation channels, portable water supply, health and education facilities, ration outlet and play fields etc in these villages.
On the occasion DDC said that the compensation amount be utilized for the developmental activities of villages. He said that the developmental projects should be involve community and the premise of work selection should be prioritised on the demands of the local community. DDC directed the line departments to submit proposals of potential works to be taken under B2V-2 in their respective departments
He added that the works should also qualifying the technical approvals from the planning department
The meeting was attended by ADC’s Awantipora, Tral, Assistant Commissioner Development, CMO and other concerned officers and officials.
