DDC inaugurates Inter Block Chess, Carrom Competition in Pulwama

PULWAMA JANUARY 18: Development Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer today inaugurated District Level Inter Block Chess and Carrom Competition for boys and girls at Government Boys Degree College Pulwama.

The event was organized by the department of Youth Services and Sports Pulwama in which scores of children from various educational institutions of the district participated.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC hailed the initiative of the department saying that such events should be organized in regularly for promotion of sports in the district. He said that there is no dearth of talent in the district as many of boys and girls have proved their mettle in various national level sports events.

Later, DDC distributed trophies and prizes among the best players.

Principal Degree College, Chief Education Officer, District Sports Officer and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
