Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah assumes charge as District Development Commissioner Pulwama

Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah(IAS) took over charge as new District Development Commissioner Pulwama today . Immediately after assuming the charge, District Development Commissioner hold an introductory cum interactive meeting with all District and Sectoral level officers of the District

While addressing the officers, DDC reiterated his commitment toward Good Governance. DDC unequivocally said that the priority of his administration would be a responsive and accountable administration. He enjoined upon all the officers to work in tandem and play their role in reinforcing the faith of people on Govt Institutions . Calling good governance as a corner stone of public peace and prosperity, he urged upon the participants to work with dedication, commitment and integrity. He stressed upon in bringing qualitative changes in governance and making Govt Institutions visible. While concluding DDC enjoined upon all the officers to have an unflinching commitment in providing a just and fair administration, which would usher a handshake movement between the Govt Institutions and people.

Earlier, DDC held an interactive session with both print and electronic media persons. While interacting with the media fraternity, DDC said that the positive and constructive role of media would change the perception of people towards Govt and can act as a connecting link between the Govt and its people. DDC hailed the media fraternity for being proactive and highlighting the issues of Public importance .DDC enjoined upon the media fraternity to work in tandem with the District Administration and play an vibrant role in spreading positivity . He further added that media has a vital role in reinforcing the faith of people on the Govt Institutions.

Besides ADC Tral and Awantipora, Joint Director Planning, all District sectoral officers and other officers, members of Pulwama Working Journalists Association (PWJA) and other concerned were present on the occasion.
