Message from District Magistrate Pulwama

Corona virus outbreak has posed serious challenges before the Govt not only in the health care system but on overall development and welfare of people. District Administration Pulwama has been on the forefront for effective management of COVID-19 virus and its spread. All the resources available with the administration have been set in motion and medical professional, Nodal Officers, Municipal workers, ASHA and Anganwardi Workers among others to mention  are working round-the-clock to save the people from the virus.

Considering the magnitude of various challenges being posed by the virus , the Govt employees and other establishments have been emphatically contributing towards the JK Relief Fund  created at UT level & CSR fund created  at District  level . The NGOs & civil society organizations have also been putting in vigorous  efforts to reach out the needy and destitute people in the district by providing them financial assistance, ration and medicine.

The District Administration is fighting the long-drawn battle with the pandemic as such the efforts need to be augmented through the contributions/cooperation from civil society, Volunteer organizations and by the general public for which the portal has been created at the district level. Besides the role of volunteer organisations/community based organisations/NGO,s also becomes all the more important during any natural disaster/flood situation/large scale crop damage etc wherein manpower support, financial support and integration of efforts of the administration and voluntary  organisations is very much required. Through the CSR portal the district administration intends to provide a common platform/meeting ground for entrusted partners to join hands to meet common goals and objectives . All necessary information regarding non-binding MOU, CSR policy,  account details , need gap analysis, query box, detail of NGO/ CSR partners , activities taken up till date, model estimates and cost abstracts etc have been provided for information, dissemination through a single point . The purpose of the portal is to identify critical gaps and provide necessary support and assistance to overcome the challenges posed by any natural calamity  in general and prevailing pandemic in particular..

Seeing the unprecedented health and economic challenge, I request the General Public , Voluntary Organizations, CSR Partners & Employees to come forward to help us to overcome the challenge posed by  COVID-19 pandemic.
